Can you accommodate large groups?

Yes. We’re happy to custom-design adventures for groups up to 60 people. We create exciting Adventures for recreational and social groups as well as corporate and professional organizations.

How can I have the maximum experience?

Three full days gives you the greatest range of experience of what Sedona has to offer. Each day we go into a different canyon. Each canyon has a unique atmosphere, environment, energy, vortex, terrain, magic, mystery, power and quality. Some canyons have 1000-year-old Indian ruins. Others ancient petroglyphs. Some canyons have cool, tree-lined streams, sacred springs and swimming holes. Each day we present unique ceremonies, shaman games and exciting nature exercises.

What is the variety of activities available?

We have a vast array of different Native American ceremonies, songs, shaman games, consciousness exercises, recreational activities, guided meditations, dances and music. You can meet your Power Animals, design and walk a labyrinth, do a Medicine Wheel ceremony, take a refreshing swim, activate your life force energy in sacred pools, build an ancestral altar, do the 4 Rings of Empowerment ceremony, experience sound healing, learn to play a Native American flute, or make a Sacred Medicine Pouch.

Will I have time on my own?

Yes, you’re free to participant—or not—in all the daily activities in each adventure. Most people choose to do all the activities with the group, but sometimes a little alone time and exploration is helpful. We offer a great deal of flexibility for you to be alone as much, or as little, as you desire.

Where do the Nature Adventures take place?

Each day we explore a different canyon near Sedona. The ancient gorges offer 1000-year-old Indian ruins, streams with huge flat red rocks for meditation, natural swimming holes, sacred spring-fed pools, abundant wildlife, shady trees, towering cliffs and lush meadows.

Do you go to the famous Sedona vortexes?

Yes. However, our most popular adventures are at powerful vortex centers that aren’t on the tourist maps. We use the healing and transformational energy of the vortex energy that flows for miles throughout the entire Sedona area to your advantage. We go to unique sacred places where you can enjoy privacy—where few or no people wander—and thus, more deeply experience the vortex energy!

We’re very familiar with and delighted to take you to the famous vortexes (Bell Rock, Airport Vortex, Boynton Canyon, Cathedral Rock/Red Rock Crossing) if you don’t mind the crowds. (Over 4 million people visit Sedona each year

What are vortexes?

Vortex sites are locations having energy flows that the Soul can explore and expand into. Vortex sites are enhanced energy locations that facilitate prayer, meditation, mind-body healing, and exploring your relationship with your Soul and the Divine. You may experience energy that helps you soar to higher spiritual perspectives. You may experience blending with the Universe, feeling one with the Divine, or viewing your life challenges from the Soul perspective. You may experience energy that helps you go inward to discover more about your life purpose or how to heal the past hurts.

What time of the year can I come?

Anytime. Every season of the year has its own special beauty, unique qualities, advantages and opportunities. Wildlife is abundant all year round. In the summer, we explore higher, cooler elevations than in the spring and fall. 

Are you open every day of the year?

Yes, you can take an exciting Sedona Adventure any day of the year, even on holidays.

Can I come on a weekend?

Yes, weekend days work fine. And we suggest weekdays only because there are a lot fewer people in the canyons during the week.

What are the hours of a Sedona Nature Adventure?

Depending on the time of year, we begin between 8-9am and end around 5-6pm. There’s a lunch break and plenty of time for personal breaks throughout the day. You set your own pace.

Where do I stay?

Being a resort town, Sedona has available accommodations from very inexpensive and basic ($49/night) to luxurious 5-star spa resorts. Sedona offers many motels, B&Bs, cabins and cottages in all price ranges. Tent and RV camping is available for a fee at campgrounds—or free in the National Forest. We’ll be happy to help you find the perfect accommodations.

How do I get to Sedona?

Most folks fly into Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix and rent a car or take a shuttle to Sedona. Currently there are 2 shuttle services: Sedona-Phoenix Shuttle and ACE Express. 

Do I need a car in Sedona?

No, it’s not necessary to rent a car. And most people find it advantageous to do so. A car will provide you with the highest level of flexibility and freedom during your stay. Since Sedona is small, in most cases we can provide transportation within Sedona, picking you up and dropping you off at your motel or campsite each day.

What’s Sedona like?

Sedona is a small art and spiritual resort town situated in dramatic Red Rock country in the high desert 2 hours north of Phoenix, Arizona. It’s easy to drive around Sedona. Sedona is totally surrounded by lush national forest and Red Rock cliffs and mountains.

How far in advance do I need to plan this adventure?

To get precisely what is perfect for you, it’s best to plan 2-3 weeks in advance. And we can usually accommodate last minute requests.

Can I come with a friend, partner or business associate?

Sedona Nature Adventures are designed to be equally effective and fulfilling when done alone or with a friend, family member, partner or business colleagues. The ceremonies and exercises are designed in a way that allows people to maintain as much privacy in their participation and sharing as they feel is necessary. So you can do an Adventure with people close to you and maintain your privacy of information and feelings. All group participation and sharing is totally voluntary.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

We return 100% of your tuition for any reason at any time.

PHYSICAL CONCERNS

 

 What kind of physical condition do I need to be in?

The outings are not strenuous adventures. You set your own pace.

How far do we walk?

The distances in and out of the various canyons range from ¼ mile to 2 miles each way. You can take as much time as you want, and as many breaks as you want.

What is the terrain like?

For the most part, the terrain is easy and level. And you have the freedom to pace yourself

How safe is it?

We hike in very safe areas. Spending time in Nature is much safer than being in an urban environment. We also provide tips on how to take care of your personal needs and stay comfortable.

Do I need to know how to hike or camp to do this?

No hiking or camping experience is necessary. Our treks are easy walks.

What do I need to carry with me?

We recommend you carry lunch, snacks, toilet paper, sunscreen, plenty of water and whatever else you need to be comfortable. A day pack or fanny pack is sufficient.

What age are the people who go?

The majority of people are between 18 and 75. Younger and older folks are welcome
